Frequently Asked Questions
As with most products, questions often arise. Rather than bog down our product pages with this sort of info, we have answered the most common of these below!Â
Lead time
We aim to deliver all of our products within 3-4 working days. We have selected what we believe to be one of the most reliable couriers from our experience and ship on a 48hr service with them. We hold stock of the Boards & Accessories at HQ where we also fulfil our orders. That said, our sales forecasting is exactly that and we do not have an endless supply of items ready. We will update each product page if lead times increase at all.
IMPORANT NOTICE
Although we always do our best to deliver your product(s) on time these dates can change slightly. So, please bear that in mind, especially over Christmas.Â
Collection
We currently do not offer a collection option for any of our products. NOOKS HQ is a functioning design studio and manufacturing hub. We plan each day to achieve our tasks and set aside time to prepare products for shipping. We’d love to meet everyone that buys our products, but at present that’s not feasible!Â
Installation
We design our products to be as simple as possible to fit into your home or van, we will have a handy Installation page here which gives you step by step instructions.
Materials
As I’m sure you will have guesssed, we almost exclusively use sustainable Birch Ply. You can find out more information on the what & the why on our About page.

Maintenance & Cleaning
We use birch for our products because it not only looks amazing but is also strong, long-lasting, and resilient. In certain circumstances we recommend using coatings to protect the finish, particularly for the facings of Natural Birch or where the end grains may be exposed to water.Â
What's included?
All the details in each product specification are always correct and up to date for the accessories included with the product.Â
Custom Sizes
NOOKS boards are designed to be modular, allowing you to place multiple boards together to your heart’s content.
As it stands we only offer custom build sizes to commercial clients. If that’s you and you have a retail space or other commercial use for a custom size NOOKS board please contact us at info@nooks-design.com
